Yes, Disgaea Mayhem is completely free to play on PC (Steam), PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Optional cosmetic purchases may be available but all gameplay content is free.

There is no single best weapon — each has different attack speeds, ranges, and Magichange synergy. Fists are great for combo builds, Swords for balanced play, and Staves for magic-focused characters.

Battle Buddies fight alongside you and can Magichange into weapons mid-combat for burst damage. Each Buddy has a category, Magichange form, and Demod enhancement.

Magichange transforms your Battle Buddy into a powerful weapon mid-combat. Each Buddy category produces a different weapon type. The transformation is temporary and has a cooldown between uses.

Reincarnate when your stat gains per level start diminishing (usually around level 500-1000 per cycle). Each cycle adds permanent base stat bonuses, so more cycles mean a stronger character at 9999.

Reaching 9999 requires Reincarnation cycles. Each cycle resets your level but increases base stats. Use the Cheat Shop to boost EXP gains and farm efficiently in high-star Item World runs.

The Dark Assembly is a voting system where you pass bills to unlock game features. Senators vote on your bills — if they reject, you can bribe them or pass by force through combat.

The Cheat Shop lets you adjust difficulty sliders (Enemy Strength, EXP, HL, Innocent quality) after unlocking it in the Overlord's Castle. Higher stars mean harder enemies but better rewards.

The Item World is a dungeon inside each item. Diving through floors levels up the item, finds Innocents (stat boosts), and can encounter Mystery Rooms with rare rewards.
